Suggestions:

  1. Keep a student list of usernames / passwords of all sites you use where students must register. (They WILL lose them or forget them.)
  2. Address parent concerns early. Get a list of any that respond “no” on the internet forms and work out an acceptable plan upfront.
  3. If possible, keep a computer connected to an LCD projector so that you can take advantage of the teachable moments.

In today’s world, preteens and teenagers use cell phones, ipods, digital cameras, and computers on a daily basis. Let’s not ask them to shift to a lower gear as they enter our classrooms.
